We are excited to announce a transformative partnership between Research Alpha and the International Network for Advancing Science and Policy (INASP). This partnership is an integral part of Research Alpha's commitment to advance Research-Industry links, working with a growing network of exceptional research leaders from leading academic institutions to provide rigorous analysis that supports business development, risk mitigation, technological due diligence and investment strategies in emerging markets.
The partnership brings together Research Alpha's distributed technical research and intelligence platform, which supports emerging markets investors with robust academically grounded insights, and INASP's long-standing work to strengthen research and tertiary education systems across Africa and the wider Global South.
The MoU reflects a shared commitment to strengthening the role of African research in leading, informing and supporting investors, industry partners, policymakers and practitioners both in Africa and globally.
For over 30 years, INASP has been working with researchers, universities and policymakers to improve the production, accessibility and use of knowledge, with particular attention to research systems strengthening across Africa and Asia. The Rising Scholars community, an INASP initiative, comprises a global network of 20,000 early-career researchers and academics. Over 8,000 are African researchers, forming a substantial pool of much needed technical expertise across the continent.
“Stronger connections between African academics and businesses are essential to building thriving enterprise ecosystems, yet too often those links are missing. This partnership with Research Alpha helps close that gap by connecting the expertise of our Rising Scholars community with the real-world challenges that business leaders are dealing with. Together, we will bring African research expertise closer to the decisions shaping African markets while shining a light on the innovation coming from the next generation of African researchers.”
“We are delighted to formalize our relationship with INASP and to welcome the Rising Scholars community to Research Alpha's growing network of exceptional academic researchers with a passion to solve pressing industry challenges. Working with the over 20,000 research experts in the Rising Scholars network brings us one step closer to our mission of leveraging our collective intellectual capital to power sustainable innovation and industry ecosystems.”
The agreement establishes a foundation for sustained collaboration aimed at improving the flow of high-quality African research into decision-making processes relevant to investment, policy, and development outcomes across the continent and beyond.
